ബാറ്ററിയുടെ റേഞ്ച് കുറവ് മൂലം ദൂര യാത്രകള്‍ക്ക് ഉപയോഗിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയില്ല എന്നതായിരുന്നു നേരത്തെ ഇലക്ട്രിക് വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ വാങ്ങുന്നതില്‍ നിന്ന് ഉപഭോക്താക്കളെ പിന്തിരിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നത്. ചാര്‍ജിംഗ് സ്റ്റേഷനുകളുടെ അഭാവം ഇന്നും പ്രശ്‌നം തന്നെയാണ്. കേരളത്തിലുടനീളം 70 ചാര്‍ജിംഗ് സ്റ്റേഷനുകളും സംസ്ഥാനത്തിന് പുറത്ത് 33 ചാര്‍ജിംഗ് സ്റ്റേഷനുകളുമാണ് ഗോ ഇ.സിയുടേതായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നത്. അഞ്ചും ആറും മണിക്കൂറുകളെടുത്തുള്ള ചാര്‍ജിംഗ് വളരെ വേഗത്തിലാക്കാന്‍ കഴിയുമെന്ന് ഗോ ഇ.സി ഓട്ടോടെക് പ്രൈവറ്റ് ലിമിറ്റഡ് സി.ഇ.ഒയും എക്‌സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് ഡയറക്ടറുമായ പി.ജി രാംനാഥ് പറഞ്ഞു.
എല്ലാ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുടെയും തലസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലും ടയര്‍2, ടയര്‍3 നഗരങ്ങളിലും, ഗ്രാമപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലും സൂപ്പര്‍ ഫാസ്റ്റ് ചാര്‍ജിംഗ് സ്റ്റേഷനുകള്‍ സ്ഥാപിക്കും. ഇതിന് പുറമേ സംസ്ഥാന, ദേശീയ പാതയോരങ്ങളിലും തന്ത്ര പ്രധാനമായ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലും രാജ്യത്തെ പ്രമുഖ ഷോപ്പിംഗ് മാളുകളിലും റെസ്റ്റോറന്റുകളിലും കൂടി ചാര്‍ജിംഗ് സൗകര്യം ഒരുക്കും. ഇതോടെ ദീര്‍ഘ ദൂര യാത്രകള്‍ക്കും ഇലക്ട്രിക് വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കാനാകും. രാജ്യം മുഴുവന്‍ ഇ.വി കണക്ടിവിറ്റി യഥാര്‍ത്ഥ്യമാകുന്നതോടെ യാത്രാ ചിലവ് ഗണ്യമായി കുറയുമെന്നതും അന്തരീക്ഷ മലിനീകരണം ഒഴിവാക്കാന്‍ കഴിയുമെന്നതും നേട്ടമാണെന്ന് പി.ജി രാംനാഥ് പറഞ്ഞു.
